Hey all!
Well, I have a bit of bad news... you know that chicken with the messed-up beak I posted before? He died yesterday :( I guess he just wasn't getting enough to eat, and was exhausted! Luckily, I wasn't the one who found him! He's in a better place now, though :)
Anyway, hope you're all enjoying some cooler fall weather- the past few days have been cool and kind of rainy here, so that's been nice for me!
So here are some pictures: the BEST picarrones in Satipo- these sweet, donut-type things made with sweet potato and covered in a honey sauce (I LOVE them!); chanfainita- a meat and potato soup; delicious avocado; a plant called "croton", i think- there are a bunch of types, they're beautiful; and a restaurant/recreation place called "Vas Yun," where we eat sometimes- they have great food, and beautiful plants!
